Summary:
Paid work – hurrah! Double reading retreat – double hurrah!
Monday:
I had to get back into a proper working mindset this morning, to tackle my first paid editing project in more than six weeks – and it was a tough job, I can tell you! It didn’t help that it was nonfiction on a subject I’m not particularly enthusiastic about it, and also had a deadline of the end of the day. Unsurprisingly, it ended up taking me longer than I expected, but I made sure I did the best I could possibly do for the author – and it was great to feel useful (and paid!) again.
I also did some shifting around of all my TBR books, some additional planning for the HRCYED reading challenge, and some prep for another YouTube video I want to make in the near future.
Tuesday:
I got some more work from yesterday’s client, which was a nice endorsement.
In the afternoon Revision Club session, I started editing the latest podcast episode.
Wednesday:
I finished editing the latest podcast episode.
I also did a bit more work for this week’s prolific editing client!
I did some more YouTube filming, editing and proofing as well.
Friday:
I set off on a week-long reading retreat I’d been looking forward to for three months!
Sunday:
I wrote my first five reviews for the books finished on retreat.
