Summary:

All I want to do at the moment is read and make YouTube content – so that’s what I’ve been doing!

 

Monday:

I started a new paid editing project today – one that’s been in the works since before Christmas and is now starting to come together. I’m working with an author who is halfway through the first draft of her debut novel and wants some ongoing editing, as well as support and accountability for completing the manuscript.

The first step is for me to read everything she has so far and do a thorough copy edit, along with providing feedback on the story to date, so she has more confidence in moving forwards. Luckily, the story is compelling and the writing is excellent, with just scattered technical issues to be addressed along the way.

After lunch, I freeglanced a blog post for Dave and finally got around to working on an overdue photo-blog post for Bear. Then I wrote my own blog post for the month, so it was a bloggy kind of an afternoon…

I also did a couple of submissions of short stories.

Later, I worked on some more YouTube video editing.

 

Tuesday:

I worked on the client novel during the morning.

In the afternoon, I watched the film Dave picked for the next podcast episode and made my notes. I also carried on reading The House of Shattered Wings and made notes for my next Reviews Revisited video.

 

Wednesday:

I woke up early, finished a book, wrote my review and completed my wrap-up video notes for it.

Then, I went into town and ensconced myself in a lovely cafe for the day.

I finished editing the first part of my ongoing client project and sent the edited manuscript back to the author.

I also worked on my next Reviews Revisited video notes.

In the evening, I went to the first resurrected Once Upon A Pub writing workshop, hosted by Sean, with a view to me potentially hosting the next one. It was really fun and I met some great people, some of whom seemed keen to attend my first workshop!

 

Thursday:

I did some filming and editing for an upcoming YouTube video, but the sound quality was really bad, so I had to scrap it.

 

Friday:

I re-filmed all of yesterday’s footage with a different microphone and it was fine – phew! I also edited the whole video and created the thumbnail.

 

Saturday:

I reviewed a couple of books I finished recently, then made a lot more notes for upcoming YouTube videos and did some more filming.

I also decided to give up on my current book so I wrote a brief review.

 

Sunday:

Want to guess what I did today? Yup, that’s right – I filmed and edited more YouTube content! (One day, I may do something else again – maybe tomorrow…?)

We did also record the next episode of the podcast.
