Summary:

Suddenly quite a lot of paid editing work – hurrah! But still trying to keep my other projects on the boil.

 

Monday:

I did a full morning of editing on my two client projects – a sci-fi novel and a YA fantasy novel – I love my job!

In the afternoon online focus session, I completed and submitted my (hopefully) final assignment for the CIEP Proofreading course I’m doing.

Then I went back to the short story anthology I’m putting together, based on a deck of Dixit cards. I was feeling a bit blocked on it, so I went through my list of existing stories and found a selection that would fit the next few pictures. I added them in to the collection and revised them to better fit the prompts and desired word count.

 

Tuesday:

I was up and at my desk by 8am today, like a proper dedicated little worker bee – and actually quite enthusiastic about the work to be done!

I edited chunks of both the sci-fi and the YA fantasy novels.

I was pretty knackered by noon, having worked non-stop – but I really enjoyed it and felt like I’d accomplished a lot.

In the afternoon Revision Club focus session, I actually did some revisions for once! I went back to the Dixit short story anthology and started work on Leslie’s next batch of feedback.

I also created the banner for my YouTube channel, which I was pretty happy with.

 

Wednesday:

I finished editing the most recent podcast episode.

 

Thursday:

I went into town for an editing/writing day at the BFI and spent the whole time working on paid client projects – the sci-fi novel and the YA fantasy. I’d reviewed my schedule because both books were taking longer than anticipated and I had to rejig my timings a bit to make sure I could finish both by their respective deadlines.

I got a lot done, so felt pleased by the end of the day – though I didn’t manage to work on any of my projects.

 

Friday:

I finished yet another book, wrote my review and made my notes for the relevant YouTube video.

 

Sunday:

I finished two more books, wrote my reviews and called a halt on April reading! So I filmed the last section of my April Wrap-Up YoutTube video, edited it and finalised it, ready for launch on Thursday.
