Summary:
A very slow work week, though I did have some new thoughts on the novel for the first time in a long while.
Monday:
I did a submission and also sorted out my work schedule for the upcoming week, after having had quite a bit of time off.
Tuesday:
I started work for a new client today, reviewing and commenting on the character sketches, plot summary, chapter-by-chapter outline and opening scene of a planned romance novel.
I also wrote reviews for my final reading retreat book – A Spell of Winter by Helen Dunmore – and an audiobook I finished today – Beyond by Mercedes Lackey.
Later, I gave myself a good talking to and collated some more Darkness notes – why is it so hard to get back into working on this novel?
Wednesday:
My other two work projects got postponed until later in the month, leaving me with no paid work to do!
I wrote a blog post about using a Habitica challenge to get back into writing Darkness – and I also did my baby steps from the challenge and collated some more Darkness notes.
Thursday:
I wrote my GYWO encouragement post for the month.
I also wrote a review of Wakanda Forever, which we saw in the cinema the night before.
Friday:
I had an interesting thought about one of the protagonists in Darkness, so I made some new notes for the first time in ages.
