Weeknotes – S06E26 – Clearing the Decks

Summary:

I finished all my current client editing projects, ready to go on holiday! I had tentative plans to work on my own projects on the train up to Edinburgh, but it turned out I’d rather play Stardew Valley… Ah well, that’s what holidays are for, right?

Monday:

Back to the cafe today, with the intention of staying all day and getting through a lot of both paid editing work and my own writing.

I started with editing the short stories, then alternated between those, the memoir and the novel, until I reached the end of my client work for the day.

The rest of the day got interrupted, so I didn’t actually get to my own projects, after all. Later, though, I finished a book and wrote my review.

Tuesday:

I had a full social calendar today – lunch in town, plus dinner and a concert later, so I went into central London early and found a cafe for a morning session of paid editing.

I finished the short stories, the novel and the memoirs, submitting all of them for review and approval, which finished off all my current projects, ready to go on holiday at the end of the week!

After a very pleasant lunch, I made my way to Picturehouse Central for my afternoon session of actually finally doing some of my own writing. Though, first, I finished reading the new opening of Hannah’s novel and sent it back to her with my comments.

By that time, it was after 4pm and I was knackered, so I punted my projects to another day – yet again…

Wednesday:

Unexpectedly free day today, so I made a tentative list and thought about getting some stuff done.

I wrote a review of the audiobook I finished the day before.

I did a couple of submissions.

I also wrote a blog post about my new outlining process.

Thursday:

We went to the cinema and I wrote my review when we got home.

Friday:

I did some submissions.

Sunday:

I finished a book and wrote my review.
